Bleached jeans bag

When I first found out that bleached denim is something that makes my heart beat faster I decided to work with it much more often. As you remember my post about the project I made during TEKO times which was about making Balmain - ish jacket that was the first time I used bleached denim. It was a huuuuge risk, I didn't have much time and I just decided to be all in for bleaching. Old jeans I had were floating in the bleaching product for like 3 or 4 days, I was super scared if that laboratory experiment will turn out as a success... What a relief I felt when the jeans finally got lighter!

So, today I want to show you my new project, something I made on my own and something I've been dreaming of since I fell in love with the boho/gypsy/bohemian/chic style :)

This is my base. The old jeans that my father has used or the pairs that he doesnt fit anymore. 

I cut the into pieces and let them be in the bleaching product for 3 days.

Then I was thinking what shape should my bag have, I only was sure about fringes but shape and size? I had no clue.. 

Then I was attaching the strings in order to check how it will look, haha my faces show all the process ;)

And the final look:

I am super happy with this project, even though jeans is very difficult to work with, as it's very thick and my maschine could not really cope with too many layers.. but I managed!! :) 

CROCHETED BLANKET

Ha :) I never thought I will finish this piece. I started it like 5 or 6 or even 7 years ago and it's been just hidden inside my closet... Such a shame, right?? So I found my pieces, I grabbed them togtether and sacrificed 2 days to knit it all together..
And now it's a rug!!! A very cosy one. In a kind of Norwegian style.. Whatevers, I love it!!

It's been 3 days since I started making my very own bag, I've been struggling and fighing and still I can't see the end! This is serious business, I decided to make an effort and make it look super nice and just like I would have bought it in a shop.
Everything started when I found my daddy's pants which in he doesnt fit anymore ( hehe, daddy, please get fit one day! ) aaand as they're super big ( :D ) I decided to repeat my success of the jacket I made during TEKO studies.
So, I cut my  pants into big pieces and let them be in the bleaching product. That took like 3 days or something, they were veery dark.

Then I washed them in the washing maschine and they got whiter even more, JUST how I wanted !!
Eventually I ironed ready pieces aaandd... started to make the pattern. Duhh.
Hard work I never liked. But well, I focused on simplicity. I knew it has to be bohemian and chic.
AND IT HAS TO HAVE FRINGES :D!!!

I still need to make the zipper, facing and think about how to attach the pocket magnet..

But Yay, I am making my own baaaag :D!!

Good to be home..

I can listen to music as loud as hell, I can exist in my mess, ohh how I missed that!!
I definetely don't miss loud brussels. Nope.

But, I have a new art piece that I made to show you, my paints are still in brussels so I bought pastels.
I must say they're really difficult to learn... Its not easy to cover dark mistakes.
